This is a letter of commendation and recommendation regarding 
the services of Carmel Grier, CRS of Realty Executives in Barnstable 
on Cape Cod.   I retained Carmel to sell the home of my mother. There were three characteristics to this assignment. First, the home is empty which means there is nobody to deal with the maintenance, inspectors, etc. Secondly, I am located in Florida and therefore not in a position to take care of the errands necessary to close a sale. And thirdly, while the house is beautifully located, it is more than twenty-five years old and has a configuration that requires considerable selling effort to find the 
right buyer.  In other words, this was not an easy job for a Realtor to take on and complete.  I must commend Carmel on the work that she did. She generated several offers, produced a firm buyer who defaulted two days before the closing (but we benefited from the closing process) and then produced another buyer within short order.
